Poet Li-Young Lee will be giving a free reading from his new book Behind My Eyes at the Harold Washington Library Center on February 13 at 6 pm.
He is best known for his books of poetry including Book of My Nights and The City in Which I Love You, along with his memoir The Winged Seed: A Remembrance, which was given an American Book Award. Lee’s poems delve into subjects such as family history, childhood, strength, and individuality.
