Things to do in Chicago in the Spring

Springtime in Chicago photo uploaded by strangehill
Spring is the perfect time to visit Chicago. The city is reawakening after the winter, and some of Chicago’s most popular attractions are reopening for business. Here are some our picks:
- Chicago History Museum Walking Tours runs April through October. The History Museum offers three different walking tours that each run about two hours. Visitors can choose from the following tours: Gold Coast, Old Town, and Lincoln Park.
- Shoreline Sightseeing Architectural River Cruise takes visitors through the Chicago River and major architectural landmarks along the way. The cruise runs past the East Bank Club, the Sears Tower, and the Old Post Office Building. A souvenir map and architectural is also included with the cruise.
- Navvy Pier is a must-see Chicago attraction that was built in 1916. Starting in May, visitors can play miniature golf, ride to the top of the Navy Pier Light House, hop on the Navy Pier Carousel, and fly through the air on the Navy Pier Wave Swinger.

Congratulations for this blog , the best way to promove Chicago online .
We just start our affiliation from Spain hoping send you a lot of tourists.
I bought a 3-day Chicago card to use when I went to see my son graduate from Navy boot camp. Unfortunately, because of his strict schedule and time constraints, we didn’t get the benefits from this card.We spent a lot of money for it and only got to use it a couple of times, so we actually lost money because of buying this card. I would not recommend buying the card if you come to the Navy graduation because your recruit has to be back on base by certain times. A 1-day card would have been the best option. I think the card is a great idea, but when you have a tight window of when you can do things, it’s not such a good option. It would be great if I could get a refund on the days I couldn’t use. Oh well, live and learn. Cathy, TX
Could you tell me where the universities are in chicago?
Another great thing to do with the family is to take a trip to the Chicago Premium Outlets. This outdoor shopping center is away from the hustle and bustle of the crazy city at Chicago Premium Outlets in Aurora, Illinois, just 45 minutes from the heart of downtown Chicago. At the outlets you will find mind-blowing savings of 25% to 65% at Brooks Brothers, Giorgio Armani, Kate Spade, and Salvatore Ferragamo, among many others.
AND there’s a 4th of July weekend sale with extended hours and extra savings. You can find more information at the center’s website: www.premiumoutlets.com/chicago
Another great thing about Chicago Premium Outlets is the amount of Shop & Stay packages they offer. You can choose from over 20 local hotels participating in Shop & Stay packages and receive unbeatable center-wide discounts! Chicago Premium Outlets is easily accessible by car but with gas prices skyrocketing, who wants to drive? Save even more money by taking a bus, train, or trolley to the Chicago Premium Outlets.
I visited the outlets just a couple of weeks ago, and once I got there i was informed of the VIP shopper club. Unfortunately, I didn’t sign up online before i went, but if you do, you can save even more when you receive a coupon book with even more discounts.
Hopefully i can get out to the outlets again some time soon, but if i can’t, you definitely should!
I THINK CHICAGO IS A GREAT PLACE AND I REALLY ENJOY!! THE BOAT TOUR
THANKS CHICAGO.
I’m so glad we purchased the Go Chicago Cards before our trip this August. My husband and I were able to plan our week ahead of time and see ALL the things we wanted to see with our two boys. We never had to wait in line (some were very long) and we saved a lot of money because we never had to pay full price at any of the attractions or tours. The Go Card was definitely a great money saver deal!
