Chicago wine lovers are in for a treat when Wine Enthusiast’s breezes into the Windy City on Thursday, May 1. For one night only, Chicago’s Field Museum hosts a spectacular evening of wine and entertainment. The tasting is being touted as “America’s premier wine tasting event” and will feature selections from several of Chicago’s top restaurants. Guests will be able to sample over 500 wines, spirits, and signature dishes. Cheers!

After getting in all your sightseeing with your Go Chicago Card, you’re bound to want some delicious food to fill your tummy. Well, lucky for you, Chicago is full of culinary wonders to please your appetite.
Along with the new season of Bravo’s Top Chef being filmed in the Windy City, Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood, namely Broadway, has been named one of the by GOOD magazine.
The neighborhood is truly diverse, including white, black, Hispanic, and Asian residents, leading to a clash of culinary traditions that’s bound to make your mouth water. GOOD magazine recommends Silver Seafood for the freshest of fish (you pick your meal from the tank!), La Fonda Latino Grill for beef loin and sweet plantains, Thai Pastry for vermicelli with coconut milk sauce, and the Green Mill for rye whiskey and jazz.

If you’re stumped about what to do this weekend, I’ve got a plan for a perfect Friday out on the town!
Firstly, grab a and make a list of all the attractions you want to make sure to see during the day. All that I require is that you save the for last, preferably around four or five.
Secondly, pick up a ticket for First Fridays from 6-10 pm at the Museum of Contemporary Art! You’ll “get swept up in culture and conversation” at this event presented by Macy’s in conjunction with the museum. This week’s theme is , complete with live music, complimentary snacks by Wolfgang Puck, a cash bar, and “creation stations” within the exhibits.
